At the fight presser, light heavyweight champion Jones said he expects an interesting fight from Evans on April 21.

“In the last fight, I don't see any progression whatsoever [in Evan's game],” “Bones” said.

Jones was referring to Evans’ performance against Phil Davis last January in UFC on FOX.

Evans won by unanimous decision. But Jones said Evans, who used to be his training partner, offered nothing new in that bout.

“It inspired me maybe really happy about what I saw. I said 'wow if that athlete shows up on April 21st, it's gonna be an interesting night',” said Jones.

Evans fired back at Jones, saying that the champion knows what’s coming on fight night.

“He already know what coming in this fight, he already felt what I had. So he can say what he wants about how he competes with anybody else but he knows what time it is when we go together. He already knows,” said Evans.
